Jeepney rams post; 2 dead

ZAMBOANGA CITY, Philippines  – Two persons died and 12 others were injured when a passenger jeepney rammed a concrete post along the highway in Barangay Pasobolong here on Wednesday. 

Romualdo Apolinario, 32, died at the scene while Poul Drick Atilano, 14, died while being treated in a hospital.  

Investigation showed that the jeepney (JVC-171), which witnesses said was speeding, hit a tricycle before it crashed into the post.

John Michael Fabian, the driver of the jeepney, was among the injured.
