Robbers abandon vault with P.3 M

Raymund Catindig - The Philippine Star

TUGUEGARAO CITY, Philippines – A vault containing almost P300,000 in cash was stolen from a gasoline station and found abandoned in Tagudin, Ilocos Sur over the weekend.

Police Officer 3 Adolfo Mina believes that the robbers decided to abandon the vault after they failed to open it.

The vault, owned by a SeaOil gasoline station, was found under a pile of hay at a rice field in Barangay Libtong.

Mina said the crime laboratory was examining the fingerprints lifted from the vault to identify the robbers.
