2 nabbed for drugs

PALO, Leyte, Philippines  – Two suspected drug traffickers were arrested by agents of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) and police officers in separate stings here and in Eastern Samar last week.

The busts also resulted in the seizure of 24 grams of shabu, said Laurefel Gabales, PDEA Region 8 officer-in-charge.

Abdullah Sultan, 30, was arrested in front of a food establishment in Palo town at around 11 p.m. Friday night.

Gabales said Sultan yielded three plastic sachets said to contain shabu.

A day before, authorities arrested Rodolfo Coprada Jr. in Barangay Cansangaya in Can-avid town Eastern Samar for a similar offense.
