Son beats antique dealer to death

TUGUEGARAO CITY, Philippines – An antique dealer was beaten to death, allegedly by her son, in a drug-fueled frenzy at their home in Vigan City, Ilocos Sur on Christmas Eve.

Maria Josefa Daser, 69, died from a fractured skull, said Vigan police chief Superintendent Jugith de Prado.

Responding policemen arrested her son, Albert Daser, 38.

The victim’s relatives expressed their willingness to send Albert to a drug rehabilitation center.
