4 Abu suspects nabbed in Sulu

Roel Pareño - The Philippine Star

ZAMBOANGA CITY, Philippines – Government security forces arrested four alleged Abu Sayyaf bandits at a checkpoint in Patikul, Sulu last week, the military reported yesterday.

A report said Jumli Pulah, Hassan Jubakal, Ingki  Abdulah and Bashir Alih allegedly yielded explosives and other bomb-making paraphernalia.

Of the four, Pulah was reportedly found to be the subject of an arrest warrant.

Col. Alan Arrojado, commander of the Joint Task Group Sulu (JTGS), said the suspects, who were in a truck without license plates, were apprehended in Barangay Bungkaon at around 9 p.m. last Wednesday.

Arrojado said bandits used the truck for kidnapping and to transport ammunition and firearms.
