Guns, drugs seized in Cagayan raid

TUGUEGARAO CITY, Philippines – Anti-narcotics agents seized P50,000 worth of shabu and firearms in a raid on a suspected drug den in Aparri, Cagayan Saturday.

The raid in Barangay Maura also resulted in the arrest of Jeofry Jill Rabino, said Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) regional director Juvenal Azurin.

The raiding team allegedly seized from Rabino’s house 15 grams of shabu, an assault rifle, a 9mm pistol, a caliber .22 revolver, ammunition and drug paraphernalia.

Early last week, police seized 100 grams of shabu with a street value of P660,000 in a raid in Batangay Macanaya, also in Aparri.

Arrested during the raid was Larry Mabbun, said Chief Inspector Mina Domingo, town police chief.

The raid also resulted in the seizure of a caliber .45 pistol and drug paraphernalia.
