Fugitive Austrian nabbed in Subic

CAMP OLIVAS, Pampanga, Philippines – An Austrian, who is wanted in his country for fraud and selling stolen motorcycle parts, was arrested at the Subic Bay Freeport Zone on Tuesday.

Chief Superintendent Raul Petrasanta, Police Regional Office-3 director, said operatives of the Philippine National Police, International Police and Austrian police collared Andreas Maurizio Woelfl at his rented room at the Subic Executive Loft.

Petrasanta said the operatives were armed with a warrant of deportation issued by the Bureau of Immigration (BI).

He said the regional trial court of Vienna issued a warrant for Woelfl’s arrest on Oct. 23, 2013.
