DPWH to rehabilitate Bulo Dam

MALOLOS CITY, Philippines – The Department of Public Works and Highways will rehabilitate Bulo Dam in San Miguel town to minimize flash floods. 

Gov. Wilhelmino Sy-Alvarado said P2 billion would be allotted for the dam that was damaged at the height of Typhoon Pedring in September 2011. 

Residents of San Miguel town, particularly in Barangays Malibay, Maligaya, Bardias, Lambakin, King Kabayo, Baritan, Sta. Lucia, Salacot, Cambio, Pinambaran, Ilog Bulo, Bagong Silang, Mandile and Batasan Matanda were affected by flash floods.

 Alvarado said farmlands in San Miguel were also destroyed.
