V12 co-ops take crash course on business

Rhodina Villanueva - The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines - Personnel of 12 agrarian reform cooperatives in Cebu were made to take a short course on business management to help them in their daily operations, the Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR) announced on Monday.

The DAR, along with the Cooperative Development Authority (CDA), conducted the “Entrepreneurial and Business Management” course in Cebu City.

Antonio del Socorro, DAR Central Visayas assistant director, said the three-day training program was aimed to enhance the skills of farmers’ cooperatives in handling their daily transactions.

“The course intends to help agrarian reform cooperatives identify opportunities for their members and develop business and entrepreneurial activities,” Soriano said.
