Cop dies in road mishap

LAGUNA, Philippines – A police officer died when his motorcycle collided with a passenger bus in Los Baños last Friday.

Police Officer 3 Wally Reyes of the Victoria police station was declared dead on arrival at the Los Baños Provincial Hospital.

Reyes was on his way home when he figured in an accident in Barangay Maahas at around 9 p.m.

Reports said the Greenstar bus driven by Leo Patagan tried to overtake another vehicle.

Charges of reckless imprudence resulting in homicide and damage to property have been filed against Patagan.
