Sayyaf member tagged in Malaysia killings falls in Tawi-Tawi

MANILA, Philippines - Police have arrested a suspected a suspected member of the Abu Sayyaf Group in Tawi-Tawi province.

Director Getulio Napenas, head of the Philippine National POlice's Special Action Force, identified the arrested bandit as Mobin Hailil.

He said members od the 5th Special Action Battalion arrested Hailil in Barangay Sanga-Sanga in Bongao town last August 26.

Seized from Hailil during the arrest were a .45 Colt pistol with a loaded magazine and an MK2 grenade.

Napenas said Hailil was involved in kidnappings and killings in Mabbul Island in Malaysia.
