Retired cop’s wife killed in robbery

BUTUAN CITY, Philippines – Robbers hacked to death the wife of a retired police general last Tuesday night after looting their house located just across the Caraga regional police headquarters here.

The victim, Edna Curitana, 55, wife of retired Chief Superintendent Celso Curitana, former Caraga police intelligence chief, died from four hack wounds in the head.

Mrs. Curitana and her maids were the only ones in the house when the robbers barged in. The robbers fled with P500,000 in cash and P1 million worth of jewelry and other valuables.
