Probers still clueless on ex-cop's killers in Cotabato
COTABATO CITY - Investigators are still clueless on the identities of the gunmen in the fatal ambush here on Sunday of a former police officer that also left his wife badly wounded.
The fatality, Talikop Bual, died on the spot from multiple gunshot wounds. His wounded spouse, Susan, was rushed to a hospital for medication.
The victims were walking for home on the busy Mabini Street here when motorcycle-riding gunmen blocked their way, pulled out guns from their waists and opened fire, killing Bual instantly and wounding his wife.
City police director Senior Superintendent Rolen Balquin said an old grudge could have led to the murder of Bual, an ethnic Maguindanaon.
Balquin said the suspects immediately escaped from the scene, leaving Bual and his wife behind.
