Baguio resident nabbed over drugs sale
BAGUIO CITY, Philippines – A Baguio resident allegedly acting as middleman between shabu suppliers in Cavite and shabu distributors in Baguio City and Benguet, was busted at the height of the month-long Panagbenga revelries.
Exploiting the influx of tourists during the festival, Baguio native Ferdinand Cruz, alias “Jay-Râ€, 30, who resides both in Lieutenant Mario Castro Street, Caridad, Cavite City, Cavite, and Iron Street, Upper Quezon Hill, this city, was caught 12:45 p.m. on February 28 selling 2.15 grams of shabu and one glass pipe to an undercover agent of PDEA – Cordillera.
Cruz, who according to PDEA-Cordillera also sells drug paraphernalia, was busted at Tadiangan, Tuba, Benguet.
During the entrapment operation, Cruz unknowingly sold three heat-sealed, transparent, plastic sachets containing shabu, valued at about P19,000 to a PDEA agent. - Artemio A. Dumlao
