Air Force secures Visayas resorts

-
CEBU CITY — The Tactical Operations Command (TOC) of the Philippine Air Force is regularly patrolling beach resorts in Cebu and Bohol to avert any further abduction of tourists by Abu Sayyaf bandits.

The air patrol, using various TOC air assets, is part of operations being implemented by the Armed Forces to secure the country’s tourist destinations.

The operation covers as far as northern Cebu where a TOC UH-1H helicopter has been making the rounds.

Meanwhile, a 44-year-old diver was airlifted by the Air Force from Dumaguete City after suffering from decompression sickness.

The diver, Eddie Caladman, had to be evacuated immediately after a paramedic team headed by Maj. Alexander Suarez found his condition worsening.
