A look at the acting nominees of the 2015 Academy Awards

MANILA, Philippines — The acting nominations at this year’s 87th Academy Awards were both expected and surprising. Early front runners—Michael Keaton of “Birdman” and Eddie Redmaybe of “The Theory of Everything,” for instance--got nods from the Oscars. But a number of surprises also managed to clinch nominations.
