More action in 'The Amazing Spider-Man' sequel

The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines - The action-packed Amazing Spider-Man 2 will pin you to your seat and will not let you finish your popcorn.

This was the expectation created by the 30-minute 3D preview of the Amazing Spider-Man sequel shown by Columbia Pictures Philippines to a small group of movie reviewers on Monday night.

The 30-minute preview tells how Spider-Man would meet his three enemies in the sequel: Electro, the Green Goblin and The Rhino.

Spider-Man (Andrew Garfield) meets The Rhino (Paul Giamatti) in a street chase and rescues in the middle of the heart-pumping race an Oscorp Industries employee, Max Dillon, who will become Electro (Jamie Foxx).

In another scene, Dillon is confused and did not know that he will soon become Electro.

In this part of the preview, Peter Parker's date with Gwen Stacy (Emma Stone) is cut short with Electro's appearance.

Spider-Man and Electro would face off for a brief moment, where the webbed superhero would win by simply dousing the electrifying villain with water with the help of firemen.

Electro then would meet Harry Osborn and the two would make a deal of destroying Spider-Man.

A part of the preview where Spider-Man would face his three enemies promises an action-packed, heart-pumping sequel.

If you're are going to see this sequel, make sure you watch it on a 3D cinema for you to be able to closely experience Spider-Man's web-swishing around New York.

And yes, superhero creator Stan Lee appears in the movie and is given a longer exposure, complete with a dialogue.

The movie opens in cinemas on April 30.
