MANILA, Philippines – The very first SuzukiWorld – not only in the Philippines, but in the entire ASEAN region – officially opened its doors to the public last December 3, following a festive, provincial motorcade in Cabanatuan City, Nueva Ecija.

The special Suzuki 3S dealership, owned and operated by Wheeltek – the country’s leading distributor of motorbikes – is now considered the first-ever SuzukiWorld because it is currently the only Suzuki shop that offers all three lines of Suzuki products in one place: its car products, big bikes, and small bikes.

Suzuki’s complete line of car products are now offered in the first building, while its small bikes are on display in its adjacent, second building. Meanwhile, browsing through its selection of big bikes can be done on the second floor of its second building.

“We are happy to bring something unique to our hometown Nueva Ecija,” exclaimed Wheeltek’s VP for Communications Roscoe Odulio during an interview with the STAR, proudly explaining that the SuzukiWorld concept was not even Suzuki Philippines’ idea, but completely Wheeltek’s brainchild. “We like our company to be recognized for being creative, innovative… a trend setter!” explained Roscoe, while also citing that whenever their business partners needed fresh, new ideas, “our suppliers would go to us.”

What brings added value to the new SuzukiWorld dealership is that it is a one-stop shop for all products Suzuki. Asides from providing the convenience of one location, Wheeltek also offers the option of in-house financing – hence the possibility of a same-day purchase and release. And since it is legitimately 3S, customers can expect the full sales, spare parts and service package, so there won’t be any need to go further from Nueva Ecija.

Currently, the only other dealership in the Philippines that is closest to the SuzukiWorld model is the Suzuki Auto Moto, which offers Suzuki cars and big bikes, but do not sell small bikes.

The SuzukiWord Cabanatuan is situated on a 4,000-sqm property along Daang Sarile, Maharlika Highway. On its first floor are its showrooms and accessories display, while the back area is dedicated for service bays and parts. The second floor of the motorcycles building is reserved for big bikes only.

Wheeltek was established in 1974, and the company started with only three Suzuki B120 motorcycles for sale. Hiroshi Suzuki, President of Suzuki Philippines Inc., who was also present at the grand opening, shared with everyone that “We are honored to be Wheeltek’s very first brand of choice!” and then went on to say that “This SuzukiWorld is testament that our brand is getting stronger and stronger as the years go by.”

Furthermore, SPH MC Sales & Marketing GM Jun Bulot, in his opening speech, emphasized that “This is not your ordinary shop – SuzukiWorld Cabanatuan offers value-packed motorcycles… by competent personnel.” He talked more about how the showroom was designed to have a prominent, wide-open space, and how they have chosen the colors of black, silver and blue to present customers with a high-class atmosphere.

Two celebrations were held that day – one in the morning for the small bikes and cars showrooms, and one in the evening exclusively for the big bikes showroom opening. More than 100 big bike riders from Northern and Central Luzon came to Nueva Ecija to take part in the motorcade and opening event.
