BMW X5

MANILA, Philippines – Asian Carmakers Corporation (ACC), the official importer and distributor of BMW in the Philippines, officially launched the third-generation of the world’s most successful Sports Activity Vehicle (SAV)—the one that started it all—the all-new 2014 BMW X5. Entering the latest chapter in its successful history, the all-new X5 is set to raise the benchmark in terms of design, interior spaciousness, luxury, versatility, driving dynamics, efficiency, and innovative equipment features.

Nissan Spin Track Event

Nissan is back in the Philippines and back big time. This seemed to be the unequivocal message as the revitalized Nissan Philippines brought its two newest offerings, the Sylphy and Altima to the Clark International Speedway for the company’s first major event: the Nissan Spin.

Toyota Vios Cup 2014 Round 1

Toyota rocked the motorsport scene to the core as 30 Vios racing cars lined up on the grid making it the largest grid in Philippine motorsports history. Jason Choachuy (# 37) of Toyota Balintawak ended up taking the victory in Race 1 and Allan Uy (#66) of Toyota Quezon Avenue in Race 2 to score strategic points advantage in the six-race series (three legs). STAR’s Motoring editor Manny de los Reyes drove in the media category, starting 26th overall and finishing 21st after two heats.

Toyota Road Trek 10: A Decade of Drive

Toyota Motor Philippines’s annual summer road trip, the Road Trek celebrated its 10th year by going back to where it all started: Iloilo to Boracay. Motoring journalists went through a series of challenges, Amazing Race style on board Toyota’s wide array of passenger vehicles.

STV Auto Rally Corporate Championship

Sunshine Television Ventures held the first leg of its annual Auto Rally Corporate Championship (ARCC) in Tagaytay City. Participants had to make sure they went through each checkpoint “on time, all the time” to win. As it stands, Team Subaru won the first leg with Team MINI coming in at second. Team Toyota came in third while Team Honda was fourth. The next round of the STV ARCC was scheduled for during the second half of the year.
