Summer in Davao just got even hotter, thanks to Marco Polo Davao’s raving jamboree. The Marco Polo Hotels in the Philippines recently held simultaneous pool parties in Manila, Cebu and Davao, tenderly known as “Drink, Dance and Dip.” The Davao edition, under the leadership of Marco Polo Davao general manager Dottie Würgler-Cronin and director of sales and marketing Pearl Peralta-Maclang, had a fun Brazilian theme and was staged at The Deck, located at the fourth floor of the hotel. The guests enjoyed dancing to the pulsating Latin beats as well as the scrumptious fajitas, kebabs and fresh fruit shakes prepared by the culinary team of executive chef Alex Destriza. “This pool party is just the start of the many signature events of Marco Polo hotels in the Philippines,” Marco Polo Hotels Group director of restaurants, bars and events Bastian Breuer said. “We are committed to be the trendsetter in the key cities… [in Asia]. This is also to strengthen the local experience of our guests.” Congratulations to Marco Polo Davao for another successful event!

Robinsons Galleria Presents ‘Figura Filipina’

Robinsons Galleria, one of the premier shopping malls owned and managed by Robinsons Land Corporation (RLC) under the leadership of president Frederick Go, held an art exhibition showcasing three of the country’s finest artists – Nemesio “Nemi” Miranda, August Santiago, Jr. and Romeo “Romi” Mananquil. Dubbed “Figura Filipina,” more than 30 paintings and sculptures by these renowned artists were displayed, leaving the guests awestruck and inspired. Robinsons Galleria shoppers, art collectors and enthusiasts marveled at the remarkable paintings, inspired by the artists’ love for their country and their portrayal of the Filipina’s beauty, dignity and strength. Kudos to the Robinsons team for giving world-class Filipino artists a wonderful platform!
