John Hardy launches latest collection in Rustan’s Cebu

C‘EST CEBU - Honey Jarque Loop - The Philippine Star

Canadian visionary and Internationally renowned jewelry brand John Hardy celebrated its arrival in Cebu with an exclusive preview of its Spring 2016 Collection and its one-of-a-kind high jewelry collection — Cinta at the Silver Vault in Rustan’s, Ayala Center Cebu.

Welcoming guests was Rustan Commercial Corporation’s vice president for store development and expansion Michael Huang. “John Hardy has been a part of Rustan’s roster for two years now, and each season, they showcase a collection of inspiring design and exquisite artistry — perfect for the equally stunning beauty of the ladies here in Cebu,” Huang said.

Joining Rustan’s in showcasing this season’s collections was Godfrey Hung, general manager of John Hardy North Asia, who flew in from Hong Kong. Also in attendance  was Janice Leung,  director of marketing and communications of John Hardy Asia Pacific, who emphasized the brand’s corporate social responsibility and commitment to the environment.

“A portion of the proceeds from the Bamboo collection goes to planting bamboo seedlings in Bali,” Leung said.  “To date, we have planted close to a million bamboo seedlings in Bali, which is six times the size of New York’s Central Park. Additionally, we use reclaimed silver and gold, and gemstones sourced under best practices for every piece of jewelry we craft.”

Radiant with the creative force of the artisan, each sculpted work draws on sacred symbols, from the contouring of precious metal to the designing of alluring stones.  Each exquisite piece is fabulously  illuminated by the powerful properties of its materials, transmitting enduring and timeless beauty. With focus on gemstones this season, John Hardy debuts the Magic Cut, Celestial Orb, and Orb rings, which celebrate the powerful natural beauty and wonder of gemstones.

John Hardy founded his brand in 1975  after visiting Bali where he was captivated  by the island. Since then, the brand  has remained committed to community, artisanship and sustainability with each master artisan still crafting every single piece of jewelry by hand.  Known for the marriage of modernistic western aesthetic and ancient hand-crafted Balinese craftsmanship, every John Hardy piece is powerful, dramatic, and inspiring in its own way.
