A new Rustan’s rises in Cebu
Inspired by the classy elegance, high-spirited and global outlook of the Cebuanos, the newly -expanded Rustan’s, the foremost luxury retailers, held a magnificent celebration at the new wing of Ayala Center Cebu, bringing with it the premier labels and the most rewarding assortment of choices it is known and cherished for.
Gracing the much-anticipated event was Ambassador Bienvenido Tantoco, the family patriarch who co-founded Rustan’s with his late wife, Glecy Tantoco in 1951. He was accompanied by his daughter, corporate and social mover and art patron Nedy Tantoco, grandsons Donnie Tantoco, president of Rustan’s, and Anton Tantoco Huang, president of Stores Specialist Inc. Lending active and very much-appreciated support were Fernando Zobel de Ayala, president and chief operating officer of Ayala Corporation, and Alfred Ty, president of Federal Land.
The affair was packed with Cebu’s dynamic 300, who were treated to a fashion show featuring the desirable collections of Criselda Lontok, N.Natori, Adrianna Papell and Sinequanone tailor-fit for fabulous and memorable occasions.
Ongoing at the third floor of the store’s Home Section is a display, which showcases dining design settings that embody the spirit of world-renowned Cebuano artistry from island’s foremost creative trendsetters and style pioneers: multi-awarded designer and manufacturer Kenneth Cobonpue, master couturier Cary Santiago, jewelry mogul Amparito Lhuillier, and primary event stylist Teresin Mendezona.
