Bailli Delegue Philippines hosts fellowship in Cebu
In the elegant setting that is the Tsay Cheng Restaurant of the Cebu Grand Convention Center, 80 chapter members of Chain des Rotisseurs Cebu gathered for dinner to share a relaxing time among friends.
Adhering to the Chinese themed fellowship, Bailli Delegue for the Philippines, Michel Lhuillier and Bailli de Cebu Amparito Lhuillier dressed in elegant black Chinese-inspired attire, amiably welcomed members and a few selected guests.
The epicurean journey commenced at the foyer with canapes accompanied by perfectly chilled champagne. For the dinner, the expertise of restaurateur Winglip Chang was tapped to present the following menu and wines.
For starters there was barbecued Peking duck, roast pork belly and deep fried squid. Then came double boiled black chicken soup with herb ginseng. Next on the menu was steamed grouper fillets with kimwa ham on glass noodles, braised Japanese dried scallops with bailing mushrooms. The main dish was Angus beef slices with sweet bell peppers.
Accompanying the courses were the finest red and white wines that included Domaine Mas Des Lavandes 2012, Crozes Hermitage 2011, Sylvaner 2010, Gigondas 2009 and Monbazillac 2011.
The wonderful selection of pralines was a beautiful way to end such a treat.
