MANILA, Philippines – Two women were injured in an explosion believed to be from a grenade before noon yesterday in Quezon City.
Police said the women, who remain unidentified as of press time, were taken to the Bernardino Hospital in Caloocan City for treatment of shrapnel wounds.
Initial reports said the explosion occurred at around 11 a.m. yesterday on Ester street, Goodwill 2 in Barangay Bagbag, Novaliches.
Officials of Police Station 4, who have jurisdiction over the area, could not provide additional details but said the incident is still being investigated.
