PDEA chief's grandchild figures in car accident

-

MANILA, Philippines - A grandchild of Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency Director General Dionisio Santiago lost control of her vehicle, which slammed into a lamppost along St. Paul street in Pasig City at past midnight yesterday.

Santiago said his grandchild, Monica Rivera, had just broken up with her boyfriend and was talking on her cell phone when she lost control of her Toyota Vios and hit the post.

Two other lampposts fell and hit a passing taxi, pinning cabbie Juan Recto behind the steering wheel. Both Rivera and Recto were listed in stable condition at a hospital.   – Non Alquitran
