Almost completed

Quezon City Mayor Feliciano Belmonte Jr. (second from left) inspects the construction work on the Serbisyong Bayan Park project in Barangay Batasan Hills during a recent visit to the area. He underscored the importance of creating more pleasurable environments for city residents. The park, which sits on a 4,800-square meter property and which used to be occupied by informal settlers, is adjacent to the newly inaugurated campuses of the Batasan National High School and QC Polytechnic University. The park is also situated near the new Batasan Police Station building and the soon-to-be-completed 29-classroom Batasan Elementary School Annex. To date, the city has developed 95 parks, including the Quezon Memorial Circle. Joining Belmonte during the inspection are (from left) city parks administration department head Zaldy dela Rosa, Councilor Ramon Medalla, city engineering officer-in-charge Joselito Cabungcal and Abet Dealino.
