Mocha Uson gets UST award

MANILA, Philippines — Communications Assistant Secretary Mocha Uson, a columnist of The STAR,  was recognized yesterday by the University of Santo Tomas (UST) Alumni Association for exemplary public service.

Uson, 35, was among the recipients of the Thomasian Alumni Award for Government Service.

Uson earned a degree in Bachelor of Science in Physical Theraphy from UST.

For this year, alumni association vice president John Simon said they honored Thomasians who are occupying ranking positions in the executive, judiciary and legislative branches of government.

 The other recipients of the award were Sen. Joel Villanueva, Muntinlupa Rep. Ruffy Biazon, Buhay party-list Rep. Lito Atienza and Trade and Industry Secretary Ramon Lopez.
