Man dies after sex in motel

MANILA, Philippines - A 56-year-old man died when he suffered a heart attack after having sex with a woman at a motel in Malate, Manila Monday night.

Luis Avila, a resident of Kundol street in Tondo, was declared dead on arrival at the Manila Doctors Hospital, Senior Police Officer 3 Richard Escarlan said.

Avila and his unidentified companion checked in at a motel in Malate shortly after 6 p.m., Escarlan said.

At around 7:30 p.m., the woman called the front desk and asked for assistance after Avila complained of chest pain.

Michael Diaz, the motel’s duty manager, told police he rushed Avila to the hospital but he died in transit.

The attending physician said Avila died of “fatal ventricular arrythmia secondary to acute coronary syndrome.”
