Kidnapped girl, 3, rescued

MANILA, Philippines — The three-year-old girl who was kidnapped in Las Piñas City was rescued by police in Cavite yesterday.

Cerio Cinolete, 26, alleged kidnapper of Princess Louisiana Bumatay, was arrested at his house in Binakayan in Kawit at around 5:30 a.m.

Cinolete’s cohort, Giselle Omayan, of Mabolo in Bacoor City, was nabbed earlier by police along Zapote Road in Las Piñas.

Omayan tagged Cinolete as the mastermind of the kidnapping.

She informed authorities about the suspect’s location, according to Southern Police District director Chief Superintendent Tomas Apolinario.

Police said the suspects were supposed to sell the child for P10,000.

The child was kidnapped near her house in Barangay Ilaya in Las Piñas on Dec. 30.
