BI kicks out 47 Korean fugitives
MANILA, Philippines — The Bureau of Immigration (BI) deported yesterday 47 Koreans wanted in their country for various criminal offenses.
BI port operations division chief Marc Red Mariñas said the fugitives left the Ninoy Aquino International Airport escorted by members of the Korean Interpol.
The Koreans were previously held at the BI detention facility at Camp Bagong Diwa in Taguig prior to their deportation.
Mariñas said the foreigners were included in the BI blacklist to prevent them from re-entering the Philippines.
The BI is set to deport another fugitive, British Mark Christopher Wyatt, who is wanted for rape in United Kingdom.
Wyatt has been arrested by agents of the BI fugitive search unit at his house in Camiling, Tarlac.
