Stalled truck causes 2-hour SLEX traffic jam

Robertzon Ramirez - The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines — A stalled flatbed truck caused traffic along the South Luzon Expressway (SLEX) in Muntinlupa City to slow down for two hours yesterday morning.

The truck, bound for Calamba, Laguna, stalled at the Alabang viaduct at around 4:30 a.m., a few minutes after it was seen swaying from one lane to another, Randolf Perez of the SLEX Command Center said.

The traffic gridlock reached Nichols in Pasay City, he added, until trafic officials reached the site of the accident at around 6:30 a.m. No one was reported injured.

Perez said they are conducting an investigation to determine if the accident was due to human error or a mechanical problem.
