Worker shot dead in funeral home

MANILA, Philippines — A worker was shot dead while he was on duty at a funeral home in Caloocan City on Monday.

The body of Bengie Buyones, 36, was found on a bench, beside a coffin, at the entrance of the San Martin Funeral Home at around 1:30 p.m., case investigator Police Officer 1 Ariel dela Cruz said.

Police officers are looking for a woman who may be a witness to the attack by a lone assailant. She was seen in a closed-circuit television video running away from the funeral home during the shooting.
