4 boys nabbed for jeepney heist

MANILA, Philippines — Four teenage boys were arrested for allegedly robbing three jeepney passengers of P36,000 worth of gadgets in Quezon City on Friday.

The suspects, aged between 15 and 17, allegedly pulled out bladed weapons and robbed Margaret Frances Nones, 19;  Kim Angelica Guzman, 20, and Mark Anthony Mendoza, 19, as the passenger jeepney was traversing North Avenue at around 8:20 p.m., said Chief Superintendent Guillermo Eleazar, Quezon City Police District director.

The victims sought the help of police officers patrolling the area. The lawmen arrested the boys after a brief chase, but three mobile phones taken from the victims were already missing.
