Maid found dead under sink
MANILA, Philippines — The body of a housemaid was found underneath the sink in the basement of her employer’s home in Quezon City on Sunday morning.
Analiza Garde’s employer told police he was looking for dog food in the basement of their house in Capitol Homes Subdivision at around 11:45 a.m. when he and his son saw bloodstains on pillows and beddings in Garde’s room.
With the subdivision security guard, they found Garde’s body underneath the bathroom sink in the basement, the employer said.
Police said blood spatters were found on the walls, door and metal frame of the double bed shared by Garde, 44, and another housemaid, identified as Diane Todilo.
Garde, last seen on Friday night, shared the basement room with Todilo, who reportedly told their employer that Garde left the house with her bags at around 10:30 p.m. Friday.
Tolido abruptly left their employer on Saturday morning, claiming she was suffering from a medical condition and that she needed to go home to Negros Occidental, police said.
Investigators have yet to determine the motive for the killing.
