No hitches in Asean security dry run
MANILA, Philippines — The security dry run spearheaded by the Presidential Security Group and Metropolitan Manila Development Authority for the 31st Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) summit in November went smoothly, an official said yesterday.
The convoy rehearsals from the Clark International Airport in Pampanga to the different hotels in Metro Manila where the ASEAN leaders will stay went without hitches, National Capital Region Police Office chief Director Oscar Albayalde said.
The summit and related meetings will be held at the Clark Freeport Zone and Philippine International Convention Center in Pasay from Nov. 13 to 15 and Nov. 16 to 17, respectively.
Albayalde said they would conduct another dry run involving the security routes for the heads of states attending the meetings.
