2 ‘jumpers’ die in Manila

MANILA, Philippines — Two men believed to steal items from passing cargo trucks died in separate incidents in Manila on Monday night.

Witnesses said the two men, who remain unidentified, reportedly tried but failed to jump onto the trucks  and were run over in the process.

The first incident happened along Bonifacio Drive in Port Area and the other along Road 10 in Tondo.

Truck drivers Joven Indicio and Eugene Madrona were charged with reckless imprudence resulting in homicide.
