2 Army units get new chiefs

Michael Punongbayan - The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines — The Philippine Army recently announced the designation of new chiefs for two of its key units.

Col. Rogelio Ulanday was appointed head of the Army Chief Ordnance and Chemical Service, replacing Col. Theodore Dizon who retired from the military service on Sept. 3.

Col. Emmanuel Anthony Ramos was named chief of the Army Real Estate Office.

Army chief of staff Maj. Gen. Robert Arevalo led the turnover ceremony at the Philippine Army headquarters last week.

Prior to his post, Ulanday served as commanding officer of the Explosives Ordnance Disposal Battalion and Army Support Command.

He also served as operations officer of the Office of the Assistant Chief of Staff for Operations and head of the Armed Forces of the Philippines Munition Control Center.

Ramos was former deputy of the 51st Engineer Brigade and head of the 1st Platoon Headquarters Company of the Army’s 23rd Infantry Battalion. He replaced Col. Ramon Evan Ruiz, who was named acting commander of the 53rd Engineer Brigade on Aug. 23.
