LRT-1 hours extended
MANILA, Philippines - The operator of the Light Rail Transit Line 1 (LRT-1) is extending the hours of operations of the train line and adding more trips on weekends and holidays.
Light Rail Manila Corp. (LRMC) said in a statement yesterday that under a new timetable, LRT-1’s first trip on weekends and holidays will leave at 4:30 a.m., earlier than the previous scheduled departure at 5 a.m.
The dry run for the new holiday and weekend schedule will be undertaken today until Sunday and on July 1 and 2. Full implementation will begin on July 8.
Under the new weekday schedule, the LRT-1 service starts operations at 4:30 a.m., while the last trip is at 10:15 p.m.
