2 drug suspects slain in Caloocan, Valenzuela
MANILA, Philippines - Two drug suspects were killed and another was wounded in separate shootings in Caloocan and Valenzuela cities over the weekend.
Noelito Relojo, 38, died after he allegedly engaged members of the Police Community Precinct 3 in a gunfight during a drug sting in Bagong Silang, Caloocan at around 7 p.m. on Sunday.
Police said Relojo had surrendered to authorities under Oplan Tokhang but allegedly did not stop pushing drugs.
In Valenzuela, drug suspects Arce Bairan, 38, and Ely Meimban, 45, were shot by unidentified assailants in Barangay Parada on Saturday night.
Bairan died at the scene. Meimban was taken to the Valenzuela Medical Center for treatment.
Probers said they recovered two sachets of shabu and drug paraphernalia from Bairan.
