Air Force auditor promoted to general

MANILA, Philippines – The internal auditor of the Philippine Air Force (PAF) has been promoted to one-star rank.

Brig. Gen. Simplicio Lumantas Jr. was the latest addition to the Armed Forces of the Philippines’ list of generals.

Lumantas is a pilot and member of the PAF Flying School Class of 1988.

Lumantas, along with 42 PAF members who were promoted as second lieutenants, attended the donning of ranks ceremony led by Air Force Commanding General Edgar Fallorina at the Villamor Air Base in Pasay City on Monday.

Prior to his designation as internal auditor, Lumantas held various positions in the PAF such as deputy commander of the 560th Air Base Wing, commanding officer of the PAF Finance Center, assistant chief of air staff for logistics and commanding officer of Tactical Operations Group 1.
