New heads of Army offices named
MANILA, Philippines – The Philippine Army announced yesterday the appointment of new officials to its key offices.
Col. Glenn Cruz was named assistant chief for logistics replacing Col. Pio Diñoso III, who now heads the 301st Infantry Brigade in Western Visayas.
Cruz was the former deputy and executive officer of the Army logistics office prior to his new position.
Col. Roberto Capulong replaced Col. Cornelio Valencia as assistant chief for plans and programs.
Valencia was transferred to the Armed Forces of the Philippines general headquarters as assistant deputy chief for plans and programs.
Lt. Col. Arvin Lagamon took over Capulong’s previous post as secretary of the Army general staff.
The officials assumed their posts on Dec. 9.
