INC global expansion reaches Africa

MANILA, Philippines - The global expansion of the Iglesia ni Cristo (INC) continued as two more churches have been built in Africa.

The religious group has expanded to 16 African countries, according to INC general auditor Glicerio Santos Jr.

Santos said eight more chapels would be opened in South Africa and Kenya next year.

Santos said the INC recruited more members in Africa.

The INC also conducted outreach programs in King Williams town, Johannesburg and Ladybrand in South Africa; Nairobi and Kiberia in Kenya as well as Maseru and Semongkong in Lesotho.

Santos said the church established eco-farming communities in South Africa aimed at providing livelihood to the poor.

The INC membership worldwide continues to increase under the leadership of its executive minister Eduardo Manalo.
