MANILA, Philippines – At least three drug suspects were shot dead in separate attacks in Metro Manila Friday.

In Caloocan City, motorcycle-riding assailants went into the shanty of alleged user Anthony Abada, 44, in Barangay 81 and shot him at around 11 p.m.

Investigators recovered seven bullet shells and four bullets in the area.

Police officers later learned from barangay councilman Roger Amo and Dennis Valeda that Abada was known as a drug user who refused to stop taking drugs despite surrendering through the police’s Oplan Tokhang.

They also learned that his shanty was reportedly used as a drug den.

In Mandaluyong City, armed men barged into a tattoo shop on 9 De Pebrero street and shot suspected pusher Reynaldo Gimora Jr., 29, at past 3 p.m.

Gimora’s name is in the Barangay Pleasant Hills drug watchlist, said Chief Superintendent Romulo Sapitula, director of the Eastern Police District.

Three spent shells from a .45 caliber pistol were recovered at the scene.

In Pasig, alleged pusher Reynaldo Piza Jr., 25, was killed by two armed men in front of his house just before midnight.

Piza was categorized as a user and pusher in Barangay Rosario’s drug watchlist, Sapitula said.

Five shells 21were found at the crime scene.
