Phone numbers win P61.2 M for vendor

MANILA, Philippines - Numbers chosen by a cigarette vendor from his mobile phone’s list of contacts hit the P61.2 million jackpot of the 6/55 Grand Lotto’s Sept. 14 draw, the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) announced yesterday.

The 52-year-old winner, who is married and with one child, began betting on the combination 08-09-16-19-31-41 two years ago, said PCSO general manager Alexander Balutan.

The vendor placed his bet at a lotto outlet in Baclaran, Parañaque City.

The vendor plans to buy a house and lot, invest in a business and save for his child’s future, he said. 

The 6/55 Grand Lotto is drawn every Monday, Wednesday and Saturday.
