PLM students get free bus rides
MANILA, Philippines - Students of the Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila (PLM), which is run by the city government of Manila, will now enjoy free bus rides.
Mayor Joseph Estrada said the city government recently acquired two buses that will transport PLM students to and from the university campus in Intramuros.
“By providing them free transportation service, the students can save money that they can spend for other important needs,” Estrada said.
“This is a simple gift to motivate them to study hard,” he added.
PLM president Dr. Maria Leonora de Jesus thanked Estrada for the donation.
Designated loading and unloading zones will be set up in strategic locations in the city to pick up and drop off students.
Around 11,000 students are currently enrolled in the university.
