PLDT-Smart to launch free Wi-Fi at NAIA

MANILA, Philippines – Passengers will soon experience uninterrupted Internet connection at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA), an official said yesterday.

Philippine Long Distance Telephone Co. (PLDT)-Smart Communications will launch the free Wi-Fi at the NAIA Terminals 1, 2, 3 and 4 on Sept. 23, according to Jess Martinez, head of the Manila International Airport Authority (MIAA) Media Affairs Division.

Martinez said Transportation Secretary Arthur Tugade, MIAA general manager Ed Monreal, PLDT-Smart chairman Manny Pangilinan and officials from the Philippine National Police Aviation Security Group and airline companies would attend the launch.

Martinez said PLDT-Smart was rushing the installation of Internet connection at the airport.
