20 nabbed for drugs in Quezon City

MANILA, Philippines – At least 20 persons were arrested in anti-drug operations in Quezon City on Monday.

Jeff Soriano, 32, was arrested with two sachets of shabu in Barangay Holy Spirit at around 3:50 a.m.

Police said they chanced on Soriano reportedly checking out a sachet of shabu.

Pia Angeline Kalalo, 33, was caught with a small sachet of shabu along San Pedro Bautista street in Barangay Damayan at around 12:45 p.m.

Elmer Miranda, 26, was arrested with drug paraphernalia in front of his house in Barangay Talipapa at around 7 a.m.

Three drug suspects were arrested after police received reports of an ongoing pot session in Barangay Damayan Lagi at around 11:20 a.m.

Ritchel Garcia, 28; Joselito Velasco, 35, and Joel Pelagio, 20, were arrested with two sachets of shabu and various drug paraphernalia.

Lolito Fabillar, 31, and Rosita Cabrera, 29, were nabbed in a drug bust in front of a gasoline station along Mindanao Avenue in Barangay Bahay Toro at around 5:15 a.m.

Five sachets of shabu and P500 marked money were seized from the suspects.

In Barangay Paltok, five drug suspects were arrested while police officers were conducting an anti-crime drive along Ilagan street at around 1:30 p.m.

Four sachets of shabu and drug paraphernalia were confiscated from Mary Ann Espinosa, 34; Carlo Matin, 22; Ernie Lleno, 36; Ariel Cortes, 38, and Merlita Man-on, 36.

Mohaimin Sela, 18, was arrested with a sachet of shabu along Masaya street in Barangay Gulod at around 3 p.m.

Six others were arrested with two sachets of shabu, drug paraphernalia, and P100 in cash during a bust along Masaya street in Barangay Gulod at around 9:15 p.m.

The suspects were identified by police as Mirasol Castro, 34; Felix Ronqiololo, 39; Pablo Navarro, 41; Earl Luis Basa, 40; Nilo Osal, 41, and Ernesto Miranda, 52.
