Tsinoy caught with P1.2-M shabu in Quezon City
MANILA, Philippines - A Filipino-Chinese woman, linked to a convicted drug dealer, was arrested in a sting with P1.2 million worth of shabu in Quezon City yesterday morning.
Anti-drug operatives had arranged to buy 500 grams of shabu from Jennifer Hong, 30, for P600,000, along Aguho street in Barangay Claro at past 2 a.m., said Senior Superintendent Guillermo Eleazar, Quezon City Police District director.
The shabu, with an estimated street value of P1.2 million; marked money and two mobile phones were seized from Hong.
The suspect – a high-value target of the Philippine National Police’s Anti-Illegal Drugs Group – reportedly serves as a courier for a group led by convicted drug dealer Jason Kua, who has been detained at the Quezon City Jail Annex in Camp Bagong Diwa for the past three years, Eleazar said.
He said they are investigating if Kua’s group could be linked to other drug groups whose leaders are in prison.
