FDA warns of unregistered glutathione supplements

MANILA, Philippines - The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has warned the public against using unregistered glutathione supplements being sold in the market.

In an advisory, acting FDA director general Ma. Lourdes Santiago said taking Tatiomax Gold Glutathione Dietary Supplement L-Glutathione Reduced Collagen Vitamin C and Tatiomax Gold Glutathioned Dietary Supplement L-Glutahione Reduced+Algatrium+A stem cell+Collagen+Alpha Lipoic Acid+Vitamin C, which have not been tested for safety and quality, “may present harmful effects on one’s health.”

The two products from Japan, Santiago said, are not registered with the FDA and are not related to the FDA-registered Tatiomax products.
