PRC gets vehicle donation

MANILA, Philippines - The Philippine Red Cross (PRC) will receive today a Strada GLX from Mitsubishi Motors to beef up the agency’s fleet of transportation assets during relief and rescue operations.

Yoshiaki Kato, president and chief executive officer of Mitsubishi Motors Philippines Corp., will turn over the vehicle to PRC chairman and Sen. Richard Gordon at the MMPC plant in Sta. Rosa, Laguna.

The donation is part of the company’s continuing support to PRC responders during disasters, typhoons and other emergency situations.

Also expected to attend the turnover ceremony are MMPC vice presidents Shigeru Ogura, Hirofumi Shibata, Orlando Alvarez Jr. and Yasuhiro Maruyama; Eddie Jose, chairman emeritus of Philippine Parts Makers Association; Edward Jose, VSO global president, and PRC Laguna chapter staff and board of directors.

The MMPC has donated a total of P11.3 million to PRC since 2013.
